Russian official says easy services to invigorate Web literacy
MOSCOW, Dec 21 (PRIME) -- Internet literacy among Russians should be stimulated through the development of convenient services, Vyacheslav Volodin, first deputy head of the presidential administration, said Monday at the Internet Economy forum.
“If the Internet should be familiarized with for a comfortable receipt of services, people will do it. Society is Internet-illiterate, because Web services are not so much of a fun,” Volodin said.
A focus in road maps of the Internet development should be made on services, rather than on those who get them, the official said.
Electronic services in the banking and financial spheres are well-developed, while state services on the municipal level are lagging behind, he said.
